Assessing and Evaluating Sexuality and HIV/AIDS Related Health and Educational Programmes

Health and educational agencies and non-government organizations undertake a vast range of programmes addressing aspects of sexuality, sexual health and HIV prevention. Personnel in RAE Consulting have many years of experience evaluating such programmes both in the UK and overseas.  Dr Nick Ford leads this group, having worked with health and educational authorities in the UK, as well as with Ministries of Health in a number of developing countries.

RAE Consulting offers a theoretically-grounded range of research methodologies which can assist such bodies evaluate and thus refine the performance of such programmes.  We can also assist with more exploratory needs and programme assessments in new situations. Such work is customarily focused on specific groups, such as youth, sex workers, migrants or particular service users. Such studies are usually undertaken in close collaboration with the service providers, ensuring the practical utility of the research. The methods used include both qualitative process and quantitative outcome evaluation - the balance of which will necessarily depend upon the specific programme.

If you would like to discuss how we might contribute to the preliminary development or subsequent evaluation of programmes addressing aspects of sexuality, sexual health and HIV prevention,  please contact us.
