There is always more than one way to skin a cat

The Carousel Approach

Here I have used InDesign to create a document, and then saved the file as a jpg. It automatically saves each page as a separate jpeg, which we then insert into the webpage as a carousel.<\p>

The quality looks good enough and this is very simple to do. I am sure Inkscape will be able to save pages as jpegs as well.

The script is on my website as TestCarouselVersion.html. There are oddities - like the arrows on either side (which aren't arrows) and I haven't tried to neaten it up as you will have your own way of adding a carousel in your website.

You'll need to make sure it shrinks in both vertical and horizontal axes if the page is small. I am also not sure how you will get this to look good on a mobile phone.

There are also websites which describe how you create page curl effects in jpegs using Photoshop - but I really don't think the effort is worth it!
